2016 Volunteer Appreciation Awards Update

Rather than having a dinner and dance this year the Volunteer Appreciation Awards will be presented at the Buffalo Point Cottage Owners Meet and Greet on August 27, 2016.

This event is being held on the Bistro Patio at the Buffalo Point Resort starting at 4 pm that day. Please bring your lawn chairs! Sign up sheets for a meal at the meet and greet are posted on the website. The awards will be given out at 5 pm.

Thanks to all the cottagers who have nominated neighbours for these awards, as the selection committee had so many great nominations to choose from!!! We have a wonderful community and many active people who make it such a special place!

We hope to see you on August 27th!

The golf tournament had to be postponed by one day due to inclement weather and we thank Don Ravel and the Resort Centre staff for accommodating the switch.  The Volunteer Appreciation Awards and the Meet and Greet took place at the time they were planned, although the barbecue was held inside due to the weather, which hampered the ability to mingle as much as we would have liked.

Pat and George Bouchard, Miles Briggs and Linda Brown were all honored by cottagers for their volunteer service to make our community and fun and happy place to spend time.

Draws were made at the Meet and Greet;
The 50/50 draw was won by Celia Meda
The Texas Mickey Raffle was won by Betty Plett

The Family Fun Golf Tournament had a wonderful turnout despite having lost a few golfers due to date change.  The weather on Sunday cooperated beautifully.  Many thanks should be given to the volunteers and the donors of the prizes.

All in all, this was a successful event and hopefully we continue to see such great participation in future events.
